Read MoreStep back in time at The Macquarie Hobart Hotel. Built in 1875, this manor building is rich in history and now comfort. Once the home of a prominent Hobart surgeon and then the headquarters for RACT, The Macquarie Hobart is now a boutique hotel.
Centrally located in Hobart CBD, just a 5-minute walk to Salamanca, the Waterfront and the city centre, it’s the perfect place to base yourself. Limited on-site parking is available (for a fee), a rarity in the city location.
Each of the 15 rooms is unique and individually decorated, many have 4m ceilings and a grand feel. Premium bedding, free wifi, and heating/cooling can also be enjoyed.
Each room has an ensuite bathroom, a mini fridge, equipment for making tea or coffee, an iron and board, towels, linen, free toiletries, hairdryer and complimentary biscuits. It is possible to book cribs and rollaway beds should your needs allow.
A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily in the impressive dining room. Dietary requirements can be catered for when advised ahead of time.

Make sure you have warm clothes. It is usually 10c cooler than Hobart CBD and can snow at any time of the year.
